...for the respondents The Court :- The Court is informed that the time to conclude the arbitration reference expired in July, 2019.

The expiry of the time period being prior to the order dated March 23, 2020 and July 10, 2020 passed by the Supreme Court in Suo Moto writ petition (Civil) No. 3 of 2020 it would be appropriate to invoke Section 29A of the Act of 1996 in the present matter.

The application is under Section 29A of the Act of 1996. The Court is informed that the parties are in the final stretch of concluding their arguments. In fact, the claimant is in reply after conclusion of the arguments of the respondents. The Court is also informed that there is an

application under Section 17 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 pending.

Be that as it may, since the parties express the desire that the arbitration reference should be concluded as expeditiously as possible, it would be appropriate to extend the time for the learned arbitrator to conclude the reference.

The time to conclude the arbitration reference is extended till June 30, 2021. The arbitration reference will commence from March 8, 2021. It will continue on the day to day basis from March 9, 2021 until the conclusion of the arguments by the parties. The arbitration reference will commence at 11:00 A.M and will continue till 1:00 P.M. and will be reconvened from 2:00 P.M. till 4:00 P.M. of every working date from March 8, 2021 till its conclusion.
