The Court: The petitioners contend that they purchased the property located at 8A, Pagladanga Road, Kolkata-700039, on December 12, 2022. Shortly after the purchase, they submitted an application to the Corporation for the mutation of the relevant assessment records. The petitioners allege that, to date, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has not processed the mutation prayer.

There is no reason to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition by directing the Assessor Collector (South), Kolkata Municipal Corporation, respondent no. 2, to consider the petitioners' application for mutation in accordance with the law within one month from the date of communication of this order.

The respondent no. 2 shall provide the petitioners an opportunity for a hearing while deciding the mutation prayer.

WPO/17/2025 is disposed of.
