...for UOI The Court: This is an application for appointment of a substitute Arbitrator.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that during pendency of the arbitral proceeding, the learned Sole Arbitrator has expired and hence a substitute Arbitrator be appointed. It is also submitted that the arbitration is at an advance stage, pleadings and evidence have both been concluded and the matter is ready for hearing.

In such circumstances, Mr. Krishnaraj Thaker, Advocate is appointed as the Sole Arbitrator in place and stead of the erstwhile Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes by and between the parties and subject to the Learned Arbitrator

communicating his consent in the prescribed format to the Registrar, Original Side of this Court within three weeks from date. The Advocate on Record of the petitioner shall communicate this order to the Learned Arbitrator forthwith and positively within 7 days from the date of passing of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, AP/10/2024 stands disposed of. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to obtain the records lying with the family members of the erstwhile Arbitrator and hand over the same to the substitute Arbitrator as expeditiously as possible. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.) kc/R.Bhar
