The Court: It appears that the subject matter of this writ application is covered by orders passed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court on December 23, 2019 in W.P. No.604 of 2016(Raghu Nath Panda & Ors. -vs- The State of W.B. & Ors.), W.P. No.96 of 2018(Siba Prasad Pradhan & Ors. -vs- The State of W.B. & Ors.) and W.P. No.472 of 2016(Prasanta Dasgupta & Ors. -vs- The State of W.B. & Ors.). For the reasons already discussed by the co-ordinate Bench in the order December 23, 2019 in the aforesaid matters, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.4 being the Managing Director of the Calcutta Tramways Company (1978) Ltd., presently known as West Bengal Transport Corporation Ltd., to take steps for payment of the dues on account of interest on the arrears in accordance

with the aforesaid memorandum dated 23rd June, 2000 within a period of six months from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The interest shall be payable at the rate as mentioned in the aforesaid memorandum from the date of its accrual till the date of actual payment. The State respondents are directed to provide the necessary financial assistance to the Company as required for clearing the financial dues of the petitioners. WPO No.55 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalitites. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) tk
