...for SBI The Court : The petitioner's grievance is that the police are not taking any steps despite several complaints having been made by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State respondent files a report offered by the Ekbalpore Police Station which indicates that Ekbalpore Police Station Case No. 25 dated January 22, 2021 was initiated against respondent nos. 6 and 7. During course of investigation, it is stated, several attempts were made to apprehend the accused persons. However, both of the accused persons were granted anticipatory bail by the Court of the Learned Sessions Judge, Alipore on February 12, 2021 in connection with Miscellaneous Criminal Case No. 792 of 2021. As far as the complaint dated February 5, 2021 is concerned, sufficient police forces were deployed since the morning on February 7, 2021 in several shifts and officers on

patrol duty made frequent rounds in the area. It is further submitted that strict vigil is being maintained so that no untoward incident happens in future. This Court is satisfied with the steps taken by the police on the basis of the complaints of the petitioner.

Accordingly, W.P.O. No. 56 of 2021 is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the police in the event any further untoward incident takes place. If such an approach is made, the police will accept such complaint and take steps accordingly.

No order as to costs.
