For petitioner The Court:- This is an application for leave to file the inventory and accounts by the executor in whose favour the grant was made on 26th April, 2024 and was ultimately issued on 6th July, 2024. The time period for filing of inventory by the executor is six months from the date of issuance of the grant. The six months period have expired long back. However, this application has been made only on 4th July, 2025. By the time this application has been made, the time to file the accounts which is to be done within one year from the date of issuance of the grant has also expired. It is submitted by the petitioner that the inventory and the accounts are ready and can be filed on any day subject to leave of this Court. Although, the grounds cited by the executor for not being able to file the inventory is not satisfactory, yet for the ends of justice and keeping in mind that the time to file accounts expired very recently, the time to file the inventory as also the accounts is extended till 18th July, 2025.

Department shall accept the inventory and the account if the same is placed before it for filing within the extended period of time provided such inventory and accounts are in proper form and order. Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this application. The application is, accordingly, disposed of.
