The Court:- In view of the urgency pleaded on behalf of both the parties, the matter is taken up for hearing.

This is an application filed under Section 29(A) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, inter alia, seeking extension of time for the Arbitrator to conclude the arbitral proceedings.

By an order dated 25 September, 2020, an Arbitrator had been appointed. It is submitted by both the parties that there have been diverse sittings and the pleadings of both the parties are completed. The examination of the claimant's witness has also concluded. The matter is at the stage of final hearing. I have considered the averments in this application and am satisfied that there are cogent reasons and sufficient cause as to why the arbitral proceeding could not be concluded.

In such circumstances, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the arbitral proceedings is extended by a period of three months from the date of passing of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, AP/30/2024 stands disposed of. The respondent is represented and does not object to the passing off this order.
