..for the respondent The Court This is the first application for extension of the learned Arbitrator's mandate under Section 29-A of The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Admittedly, the one year under Section 29-A(1) ended on 21st July, 2023 and the additional six months on 20th January, 2024. The present application was filed on 19th January, 2024.

The advocate-on-record appearing for the petitioner prays for substantial extension on the plea that the matter involves complicated

questions of law since one of the parties in the arbitration was in Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process.

AP-COM/90/2024 is accordingly allowed and disposed of by extending the learned Arbitrator's mandate for seven months from 20th January, 2024.
