For the respondent The Court :-By this application under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of time for the learned Arbitrator to make and publish the award. He submits that, the intervening pandemic caused delay in the disposal of the arbitration proceedings.

Learned Advocate appearing for the respondent does not object to the extension of time as prayed for. He submits that, to be on a safer side, it would be appropriate a period of eight months is granted for the parties to complete the arbitration proceedings.

In view of the respective submissions made in Court, it would be appropriate to extend the time to make and publish the award for a period of eight months from date as prayed for.

AP No. 110 of 2020 is disposed of.
