The Court :- It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that though the petitioner had challenged the notice issued under section 148 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for the assessment year 2017-18 dated 5.11.2024, however, in the interregnum since the assessment order under section 147 having been passed and the petitioner having preferred an appeal therefrom, the instant writ petition has become infructuous and, as such, the petitioner does not wish to proceed with the instant application.

Mr. Sharma, learned advocate appears for the respondents. Having heard learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting that the instant writ petition has become infructuous, let the same be dismissed.
