Ms. D. Chattoraj, Adv.; Ms. A. Dutta, Adv., for WBTC. The Court: 1. The petitioner is the son of a deceased employee of the WBTC, namely Tiko Rajbanshi. He claims that the differential gratuity on account of ROPA 2019 has not been paid to his father.

2. In those circumstances, this Court directs the WBTC to pay the differential retirement gratuity payable to the petitioner's father since he was in service as on 01.01.2015 and superannuated on May 10, 2016.

3. Let such payment, if not already made, be made within a period of two months from date.

4. The issue of interest on the differential gratuity shall abide by the result of the appeal being APOT/243/2022 along with cross objection being OCOT/1/2023.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) tk
