The Court:- The petitioner is aggrieved that while he has been plying the vehicle(bus) over the inter-state route from Bankura to Baripada since 2016 and following a specific time table, all on a sudden, at the end of 2024, an inter-regional permit holder has intervened into the said route alignment of him with an overlapping timetable, for which, there is clash of time with respect to the buses, that are plying.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner has submitted that such overlapping time schedule has jeopardized the smooth plying of the vehicle by the petitioner in terms of the permit conditions. The petitioner has ventilated his grievance by dint of a letter demanding justice to the authorities i.e. dated January 13, 2025. Allegedly, however, till date, there is no redress of his grievance and hence, this writ petition.

In spite of service, no one is appearing on behalf of the State respondents.

Having heard learned Advocate for the petitioner as well as perusing the record, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition by directing the Secretary, STA, West Bengal, for considering the petitioner's representation dated January 13, 2025 and decide the same by dint of a reasoned order. In doing so, the said respondent shall give opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and to any other parties, as he may think fit and proper. The entire exercise as above should be concluded by such respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The writ petition no. WPO/106/2025 is, therefore, disposed of. Since no affidavit in opposition has been called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.
