In terms of the original directions, it appears that, by a letter dated 18th April, 2019, addressed by the 1st Land Acquisition Collector, Kolkata, to the Secretary, Government of West Bengal, School Education Department, West Bengal, it has been clarified that the total mesne profit payable to the writ petitioner is Rs.55,74,410/-. Out of the said amount, a sum of Rs.7,78,028/- has been assessed to be payable by the former Head Master of the School. The balance amount is payable by the District Primary School Council.

A copy of the letter dated 18th April, 2019 as also the reasoned order has been handed over by the counsel for the State to the learned Advocate for the applicant and is also taken on record. Since the order dated 29th August, 2018 has been complied with, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the contempt application. The same is accordingly disposed of.

Liberty, as already reserved in the order dated 29th August, 2018 to the writ petitioner to receive the said sum of money in accordance with law, remains.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to their compliance with all the requisite formalities.
