The Court : The petitioner has been issued a charge-sheet on 29th December, 2020 for unauthorised absence. The petitioner submits that he was unwell and had contacted Covid from 22nd July, 2020 till 31st August, 2020. He was paid salary for the months of September and October, 2020. It is submitted that the enquiry is underway.

In the above circumstances, the respondents shall complete the departmental enquiry against the petitioner within a

period of two months from date. No unnecessary adjournment shall be granted to any of the parties.

The petitioner shall be paid subsistence allowance for the months of January, February, March and April, 2021. The petitioner's claim towards arrears of pay and any subsistence allowance shall abide by the final result of the departmental enquiry.

WPO/125/2021 is disposed of accordingly.
