The Court : This appeal is formally admitted and disposed of today by this order, after dispensing with all formalities. This is so because this appeal is against an order awarding costs of Rs.50,000/- against the appellant/plaintiffs to be paid to the West Bengal State Legal Services Authority before service of the summons on the defendant, as submitted, for failure on the part of the appellant/plaintiffs to take procedural steps in the department. The impugned order dated 23rd December, 2021 is modified to the extent of reducing the costs awarded to Rs.5,000/-. The costs will be paid within one week from date. The impugned order is modified to the above extent only.

The appeal (APOT No.8 of 2022) and the stay application (IA No. GA No.1 of 2022) are disposed of.
