The Court: 1. The petitioner claims the benefit of ROPA 1998 on account of his father's service. Representation was made on August 31, 2023 in this regard. Thereafter the petitioner received replies under the RTI Act, on January 16, 2024, indicating certain dates on which payments were made to his father.

2. The petitioner disputes such payments or that benefits under ROPA 1998 had been made to the petitioner on account of the service of petitioner's father.

3. In those circumstances, the petitioner shall be entitled to make a formal representation to the respondents and the respondents shall consider the same and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

4. If the petitioner makes such representation within a period of ten days from date, the respondents shall dispose of the same within 45 days thereafter.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) tk
