It is contended by learned counsel for the State that the petitioner has made incorrect statements in the writ petition itself, which can be demonstrated from the pleadings and annexures of the affidavit-in-opposition. As such, costs ought to be awarded against the petitioner.

However, keeping in view that the petitioner is consistently unrepresented, the prayer for costs are not acceded to. In view of the order dated June 6, 2023, by which the matter was fixed for hearing as a last chance today, it is deemed that the petitioner is no longer interested to proceed with the matter. Accordingly, WPO/275/2023 is dismissed for default. Interim orders, if any, stand vacated.

No order as to costs.
