1. This is an application for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator which expired in November, 2024.

2. Affidavit of service is taken on record.

3. The office of the Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer, Sealdah was physically served with a copy of the application on February 27, 2025, with a forwarding letter of the learned Advocate-on-Record dated February 26, 2025. The stamp and seal along with signature is available on the receipt copy. It also appears that the application was served by e-mail. Despite service, none appears on behalf of the Railway authorities.

4. It appears that the mandate of the learned Arbitrator expired on November 20, 2024. The learned Arbitrator was appointed by this Court in 2022. Thereafter, an extension was granted by a Coordinate Bench of this Court. It is submitted that the witness action is near completion and the arguments are likely to begin soon.

5. Considering the advanced stage of the proceeding, this Court deems it fit to extend the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by another period of eight months from the date of communication of this order, to enable the learned Arbitrator to make and publish his award.
