...for added respondent, Dr. Suranjana Ganguly. The Court :- This Court has heard the petitioner in person. There is a lot of incoherence in his statements. The Court has also considered the affidavit of Dr. Suranjana Ganguly. It appears from the affidavit that the petitioner was taken for consultation with the said doctor, who is a psychiatrist, by his father. The petitioner denies that he has ever given consent to his father for being taken to and/or being evaluated by a psychiatrist. The petitioner has also denied having given any consent for detention in a psychiatric facility.

Counsel for the State submits that there are a large number of complaints filed by the petitioner as well as against him. FIRs have been registered.

The State has already been directed to investigate and submit final reports against the FIRs, which may be done as expeditiously as possible. The State shall also consider investigation into the petitioner's grievance and/or complaint, that he was forcibly taken to a psychiatrist and detained in a mental healthcare facility contrary to the provisions of the Mental Health Act, 2017.

The other prayers in the writ petition with regard to electricity cannot be entertained by this Bench. The petitioner may take out separate proceedings in that regard.

With the aforesaid directions, WPO No. 662 of 2022 is disposed of. The connected application, being GA No. 1 of 2022 is also disposed of. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) S.Chandra
