The Court:- By an order dated 15th December, 2020 the Court directed the Chief Accounts Officer of the West Bengal Transport Corporation Limited to consider the prayer of the petitioner for grant of interest on the delayed payment of his terminal dues. The respondent was directed to pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner. An affidavit of compliance has been filed in Court wherein it has been mentioned that the order dated 15th December, 2020 could not be effectively complied with as the petitioner met with an unfortunate accident and has expired.

The copy of the affidavit of compliance was served upon the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

None appears in support of the Contempt Application in Court today. In view of the facts stated in the affidavit of compliance, no order is required to be passed in the contempt application.

Heirs of the deceased petitioner will be at liberty to approach the respondent authority for relief. CC No.20 of 2021 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary formalities.
