...for the respondent The Court: It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that due to unavoidable circumstances and the volume of materials which were to be considered by the learned Arbitrator, a second extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator is being sought.

The affidavit-in-opposition filed by the respondent be kept on record. However, learned counsel for the respondent clarifies that although an opposition is being filed pursuant to the previous direction of this Court, no substantial objection has been taken by the respondent to the petitioner's prayer.

Upon consideration of the materials and submissions of parties, I am of the view that the mandate of the Arbitrator should be extended for one month since only the passing of the award is awaited.

Accordingly, AP-COM/439/2024 is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Arbitrator till August 2, 2024. No order as to costs.
