The Court:- This is an application 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. It is fairly submitted by both the parties that for unavoidable reasons the Arbitral Tribunal was unable to conclude the arbitral proceedings. By an order dated 30 August, 2023, the time to conclude the arbitral proceedings had been extended till 5 March, 2024. It is also submitted by the parties that the matter is at an advance stage and the respondent is on the verge of concluding their submissions.

I have considered the averments in the application and I am satisfied that there are sufficient and cogent reasons as to why the Arbitral Tribunal was unable to conclude the proceedings. In such circumstances, the time to conclude the arbitral proceedings stands extended till 31 December, 2024. With the aforesaid directions, AP-COM/442/2024 stands disposed of.
