The Court : The affidavit of service filed be taken on record. The petitioner claims that he has direct connection facility to his workshop. He is desirous of an alternative connection supply. He claims that since he is unable to use the aforesaid direct connection, he has been running his business with electricity supply granted from a neighbour.

In the circumstances, this Court is of the view that the petitioner ought to make a formal application to the authorities after complying with all the norms within a period of seven days. The licensee shall thereupon take steps in accordance with law and if the connection can be given to the petitioner at the existing meter board of the said area or at his own premises, the licensee shall do so in accordance with law within a period

of two months from date. All inspections and steps in this regard will be taken by the licensee.

The petitioner undertakes to comply with all the formalities including any special payments required in this regard. It is surprising to the Court also that the petitioner claims to have a direct connection even as on date.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) tk
