The Court:- This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. It is submitted by the petitioner that the time to conclude the arbitration proceeding stood concluded on 11 March, 2024. The application was filed on 5 March, 2024 before the time of expiry. The respondent is represented and does not object to prayer for extension of time. It is also submitted that the hearing stood concluded as on 1 March, 2024 and the parties are awaiting the final award.

I have considered the averments made in the application and am satisfied that there are cogent reasons and sufficient cause for extending the mandate of the Learned Arbitrator.

In such circumstances, AP-COM/451/2024 stands allowed by granting an order in terms of prayer (a) of the Notice of Motion. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.) SK.
