The petitioner has filed the present application being GA/1/2023 praying for amendment in the application being PLA/109/2020 as well as in the affidavit of assets.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that by an order dated 30th October, 2020, this Court has granted Letters of Administration and the same was issued on 19th February, 2021. Subsequently, the petitioner traced out some additional assets pending in the name of the deceased which were omitted while filing the affidavit of assets in PLA/109/2020 and the documents i.e. share certificate and folio are required to be brought on record in the application as well as in the affidavit of assets.

Considering the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner, prayers (a) and (b) of the application are allowed. The department is directed to carry out the amendment in terms of the proposed amendment as annexed with the application within two weeks after Puja Vacation.

GA/1/2023 is disposed of.

Counsel for the petitioner also pointed out that one of the beneficiaries, namely, Kuntal Das, who has given consent, died intestate on 28th June, 2021 and he was bachelor at the time of his death. Accordingly, there is no necessity for substitution of the legal heir of the deceased Kuntal Das.
