The Court :- This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator which has expired on 20th March, 2024. The application has been filed on 20th March, 2024.

It appears that by consent of the parties, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator was extended for a period of six months at the first instance. It is submitted by the parties that the matter is in the argument stage. The argument on behalf of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) being the respondent in the arbitral proceedings have been concluded.

In the aforesaid facts and circumstances to enable the claimant to conclude its argument and the learned Arbitrator to publish the award the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a further period of six months from date by consent of the parties.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this application. The application is accordingly disposed of.

Since I have not invited affidavits, allegations contained in this application are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondent. (ARINDAM MUKHERJEE, J.) snn
