The Court: This is an application under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

By an order dated 8th August, 2023, an earlier extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator was granted till 31st May, 2024. It is submitted that because of the voluminous records and for reasons beyond their control, the arbitral proceedings have still not concluded. Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitrator be further extended. In such circumstances, by consent of the parties, the mandate of the Arbitrator to conclude the arbitral proceedings stands extended by a period of six months from the date of passing of this order.

It is made clear that the aforesaid direction is peremptory in nature and no further extension would be granted to either of the parties. In view of the aforesaid directions, AP-COM/482/2024 stands disposed of.
