The Court: This is an application for enforcement of an award dated 12 July, 2010. By the award, the award-debtors have been directed to pay a sum of Rs.27,78,457/-. The proceedings have been pending since 2015 and repeated orders have been passed from time to time. In fact, a serious issue had also arisen of the Receiver being obstructed by one Manirul Islam Chowdhury. The parties have agreed to settle their disputes. The award-debtor no.1 is present in person and undertakes to make payment of Rs.8,50,000/- as full and final settlement in the following manner:

i) Rs.4,25,000/- is to be paid by 30 March, 2024, and ii) The remaining amount of Rs.4,25,000/- to be paid by 15 May, 2024.

In default of any of the payments, liberty is granted to the award-holder to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law including an application for contempt.

In view of an unconditional apology of Mr. Manirul Islam Chowdhury both to the Receiver and this Court no further order requires to be passed. With the aforesaid directions, EC/211/2015 stands disposed of. All interim orders stand vacated.
