1. The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for direction upon the respondent no.3 for disposal of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24th March, 2026.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that before 28th February, 2026 the name of the petitioner has been deleted from the voter list. Accordingly, the petitioner has preferred the appeal before the respondent no.3 on 24th March, 2026 and the said appeal is still pending before the respondent no.3. He prays for disposal of the appeal filed before the respondent no.3 on 24th March, 2026.

3. In view of the above, the respondent no.3, District Magistrate and District Electoral Officer, Barasat is directed to dispose of the appeal filed on 24th March, 2026 as early as possible.
