The Court: Petitioner complains of police inaction. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that despite the complaint being registered as First Information Report, the police are inactive. The police are yet to arrest the accused and recover the materials. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the complaint relates to a cheque being dishonoured. The petitioner was called upon to furnish documents under Section 91 of the Cr.PC. The petitioner produced certain documents. The investigation is in progress. The police have called upon the mobile service provider of the accused persons for details.

In the facts of the present case, since the police registered the complaint as a First Information Report and are continuing with the investigation, at this stage, further interference by a writ Court is not called for. Since the Court did not invite the parties to file affidavits, the allegations made in the petition are deemed to be denied. WPO No.347 of 2020 is disposed of.
