The Court: This is an application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the arbitral proceedings are at an advance stage and the witness of the petitioner is being crossexamined. However, for reasons beyond the control of the parties, the arbitral proceedings have not concluded during the fixed time frame. In such circumstances, the time to publish the award be extended. The respondent is represented and fairly does not oppose the prayer for extension.

In such circumstances, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal stands extended by a further period of six months from date. It is made clear that the aforesaid extension is peremptory in nature and no further extension would be granted to the parties.

With the aforesaid directions, AP-COM/524/2024 stands disposed of. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.) SK.
