AP/334/2020 is an application for extension of the mandate of the learned arbitral Tribunal. The mandate of the learned Tribunal expired on October 30, 2020. The award was published on 17th June, 2024. The application for extension of mandate was filed on October 20, 2020, i.e. before the expiry of the mandate and by virtue of the second proviso to sub-section 4 of Section 29A, the mandate of the Tribunal continued till disposal of this

application. The arbitral award was published during the pendency of this application when the mandate continued by operation of law.

Under the circumstances, and for the ends of justice, the mandate of the learned arbitral Tribunal is extended till termination of the arbitral proceeding, i.e., upto the date of publication of the award.

AP 334 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly.
