The Court: This is an application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Both parties are represented and submit that due to unavoidable reasons the Arbitrator was unable to conclude the arbitral proceedings within the stipulated time.

It is submitted that the matter is at an advance stage and the respondent is in the verge of concluding their arguments. I have considered the averments in this application and I am satisfied that there is good cause and sufficient reason as to why the Arbitrator was unable to conclude the proceedings. In such circumstances, the time to conclude the proceedings and publish the award is peremptory extended by a period of six months from date.

Affidavit of service be kept with the records. Accordingly, AP-COM/536/2024 stands disposed of. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.) SK.
