... for the State The Court : After hearing learned counsel, the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction on the State Transport Authority being the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 19th December, 2019 by way of a reasoned order after hearing concerned parties including the petitioner.

The reasoned order shall be made within a period of three weeks from date and a copy of the same be made available to the petitioner within a week thereafter.

Since there has been unexplained and inordinate delay on the part of the authority to consider the representation, the authority is to ensure that the petitioner is eligible for the renewal of permit, the petitioner should be granted the same without any further delay. Needless to say, the authority will proceed in accordance with law.

WPO No. 1186 of 2022 is disposed of.
