Learned advocate representing the State respondents has obtained instruction from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Officer-in-Charge, Gosaba Police Station dated 14th July, 2025 which mentions that the investigation of the subject case has ended by filing of the charge-sheet being Gosaba P. S. Case No.213/2025 dated 9th July, 2025 against ten accused persons.

At the time of investigation, the police have found that 3558 birth certificates and 510 death certificates were issued online from Janma-
Mrityu portal of Pathankhali GP. Relying on such report of investigation, prayer has been made before the Chief Medical Officer (Health), South 24 Parganas for cancellation of all the above certificates. 3.
One of such death certificates issued in respect of one Nitya Ranjan Ghosh (M/91) bearing No. D/2024/0434180 dated 9th August, 2024 appears at page 35 of the instant writ petition. 4.
As the police is prima facie satisfied that the death certificate questioned in the instant writ petition is not genuine, accordingly, the same stand cancelled and set aside. No steps can be taken relying on the said certificate. Any steps taken on the basis of the said certificate, shall be treated as null and void.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
