The Court: By consent of the parties, all these matters are taken up for hearing together.
These applications have been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996. The parties seek extension for time of the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the arbitral proceedings.
It is submitted on behalf of both parties that in view of the voluminous documentary evidence and the nature of claim involved in each of the respective arbitration proceedings, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the same be extended. Both parties unconditionally agree to the aforesaid extensions. I have considered the averments made in the applications and I am satisfied that there are sufficient and cogent grounds as to why the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal should be extended.
In such circumstances, the time to conclude the arbitral reference stands extended by a period of one year from the date of passing of this order. With the aforesaid directions, AP-COM/549/2024, AP-COM/550/2024, APCOM/551/2024, AP-COM/552/2024, AP-COM/553/2024, AP-COM/554/2024, AP-COM/555/2024 stand disposed of.
