..for the respondent DGFT The Court: Heard learned Advocates appearing for the parties. In this writ petition, the petitioner has made an innocuous prayer of direction upon the appellate authority for disposal of the pending appeal details of which is appearing at page 45 of the writ petition from which it appears that the same has been filed long back, that is, on 10th June, 2017 against the order of suspension dated 13th February, 2017 by the Deputy Director General, Foreign Trade.

This Court fails to understand this inordinate delay of 5 years in disposing the appeal in question by the appellate authority concerned.

Without going into the merits of the said appeal, this writ petition being WPO No. 322 of 2019 is disposed of by directing the appellate authority concerned to consider and dispose of the appeal in question in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or its authorized representative positively within 12 weeks from the date of communication of this order.
