...For the KMC The Court:- A report has been filed by the Assessor Collector [North], Kolkata Municipal Corporation signed on 15.05.2024 which mentions that the Corporation has implemented the order passed by the learned Municipal Assessment Tribunal and issued fresh bills.

A sum of Rs.9,73,860/- has been found to be paid in excess by the petitioners. The Corporation is ready to refund the aforesaid amount. The bank details where the amount will be credited shall be furnished by the petitioners to the Assessor Collector [North], Kolkata Municipal Corporation for transferring the aforesaid amount. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
