The Court: The petitioner complains of the Arbitrator attempting to seek a lien in respect on the award, primarily on account of non-payment of the respondent's share of fees and expenses.
It is further submitted on behalf of the petitioner that they are ready and willing to make necessary deposits in terms of Sections 38 and 39 of the Act if such share paid on behalf of the respondent is duly reimbursed to the petitioner. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties and the Arbitrator that the petitioner would be reimbursed in accordance with law, in respect of payments made on behalf of the respondent, no further order is passed in this application.
AP-COM/561/2024 stands disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal also stands extended till 30 June, 2024.
