The Court :- The petitioner has alleged that the Co-operative bank without serving any notice to the petitioner and by beating drums auctioned the property sometimes in the year 1985. The petitioner alleges that the private respondents are in possession of the property which is the subject matter of the writ petition and has sought for eviction of the private respondents from the property in question.

This Court is not inclined to entertain a challenge to an auction held sometime in the year 1985 in the writ petition filed in the year 2026. The petitioner is guilty of inordinate delay and laches. For such reason, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the same stands dismissed. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

It is made clear that this order shall not preclude the petitioner from approaching the proper forum for appropriate reliefs in accordance with law. (HIRANMAY BHATTACHARYYA, J.) pa
