The Court: After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, WPO/1258/2022 is disposed of by directing the Regional Transport Authority, Kolkata to consider the representation dated 15th December, 2021 for surrender of the permit on the ground that the petitioner's permit has lapsed and the petitioner does not intend to continue the said permit.

The representation shall be disposed of by way of a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from date after hearing all concerned parties including the writ petitioner and the copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date on which the decision is taken.
