For petitioner The Court: This is an application for amendment of the application for grant of probate after the probate has been granted by an order dated March 4, 2025 but not issued as yet. The amendment only is in respect of the postal pin code mentioned in the cause title and other portions of the application which are shown in red ink in a copy of the application annexed as Annexure-X to this application. Under the provisions of Section 261 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, this Court is authorised to correct the postal pin code even after the grant is made but prior to issuance thereof so that the grant may be corrected accordingly and issued. The proposed amendments appear to be formal in

nature and shall not change the nature and character of the litigation or amount to withdrawal of any admission already made. The amendments are thus allowed.

Department is directed to carry out the amendments within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order. The petitioner shall cooperate with the department for carrying out the amendments. Once the amendments are carried out, the petitioner shall be entitled to re-verify the application.

The grant shall be issued in terms of the order dated March 4, 2025 but with the correction in the postal pin code of the deceased. Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this application. The application being GA/1/2026 is, accordingly, disposed of. (ARINDAM MUKHERJEE, J.) Sb/
