The Court : The husband of the petitioner was an employee of Khottadihi OCP (ECL), Pandeveswar. He died in harness on 17th April, 2002. The petitioner claims that after the death of her husband she applied for employment on compassionate ground. The prayer of the petitioner stood rejected. The petitioner presently prays for monetary compensation in lieu of employment. The petitioner applied before the respondents by a letter dated 14th August, 2020. The petitioner alleges that her application is yet to be considered by the authorities.

The learned Advocate representing the respondents submits that the petitioner has applied at a belated date. The husband of the petitioner expired long ago in the year 1994 and the petitioner has applied for monetary compensation only in August, 2020.

Since it appears that the application made by the petitioner for monetary compensation is pending at the end of the authority, the instant writ petition is

disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 3 & 5 being the Director Personnel and the General Manager (ECL), Pandaveswar area to consider the application made by the petitioner on 14th August, 2020 strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The said respondents shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

WPO No.431 of 2020 stands disposed of.

Since the writ petition has been disposed of without calling for any affidavit, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
