The petitioners are auction purchasers of a property which was put on auction in the year 2005 under the provisions of the Recovery of Debts due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993. Sale certificate was issued in favour of the petitioners but certain inadvertent errors crept up in the same. The petitioners approached the Recovery Officer for making necessary correction in the sale certificate. The same has not been done till date. 2.

The petitioners have annexed in the writ petition at pages 67 and 68 the changes that are required to be made in the sale certificate to make the sale certificate error free.

Learned advocate representing the bank admits that there are errors in the sale certificate issued in favour of the petitioners.

As the bank admits that the errors are required to be corrected, accordingly, the Recovery Officer, being the respondent no.3 herein is directed to take immediate steps for issuance of a proper sale certificate in favour of the petitioners.

The Recovery Officer shall also take steps to ensure that the sale certificate is registered in accordance with law. 6.

Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest, but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The petitioners are directed to co-operate with the Recovery Officer for compliance of the direction passed hereinabove. 8.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record. 10.
