Complaining non-compliance of the order dated 27th September, 2019 passed in WP/337/2018 whereby the writ petition stood allowed in terms of prayer (a) thereby commanding the respondents to make payment of the outstanding bills raised by the petitioner under various work orders totalling a sum of Rs.18,49,734/-, this contempt application has been filed. Although, an appeal was preferred from such order, by an order dated 11th March, 2021, the appeal stood dismissed.

Today, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that following the dismissal of the above appeal, the order dated 27th September, 2019 has been complied with.

Although there appears to be delay in compliance of the order, however, taking note of the fact that there is substantial compliance as claimed by the petitioners, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the contempt application pending.
