...for respondent Corporation The Court: The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the Calcutta Tramways Company, being the respondent no.2, to grant compassionate appointment.

Counsel on behalf of the respondent no.2 is represented and submits a letter dated 8th October, 2018 whereby it appears that the petitioner has been appointed as a bus conductor vide letter dated 5th October, 2018. It is further submitted on behalf of the respondent no.2 that post a scheme of amalgamation,

all the appointments of the respondent no.2 are done through an agency, namely, DCM Vigilance & Maintenance Services Private Limited. In view of the submission made on behalf of the respondent, there is no scope of passing any further order in favour of the petitioner. Accordingly, WPO 318 of 2016 is dismissed. However, there will be no order as to costs.
