The Court: The petitioner is a claimant in the arbitral proceeding. The petitioner has approached this Court by filing this application and prays for extension of the mandate. Learned advocate for the respondent also submits that the respondent has a counterclaim and the mandate of the learned arbitrator should be extended for the ends of justice. Although, this is the 5th extension being granted by the Court, it appears to this Court that the matter is at the stage of final arguments and the mandate of the learned arbitrator is going to expire on 16th June, 2025.

Under such circumstances, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a further period of six months within which time the learned arbitrator must make and publish his award.
