... for the defendant The Court : Counsel for both the parties are present. Parties have handed over a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding entered between the plaintiff and the defendant on 18th April, 2022. It is submitted on behalf of the parties that both the parties have complied with the Memorandum of Understanding as the plaintiff has given an apology letter to the defendant and to the other concerned authorities and in turn, the defendant had issued cheque for an amount of Rs.18,90,700/- of Punjab National Bank being Cheque No. 282886 dated 20th May, 2022 to the counsel for the defendant. Both the parties have submitted that as the parties have settled the dispute, nothing remains in the suit.

In view of the above, CS/166/2021 is disposed of. Let the letter dated 18th April, 2022 along with the copy of the Memorandum of Understanding be kept with the record. The original cheque as aforesaid is handed over to the counsel for the plaintiff. In the first line of page 2 of the order dated 10th May, 2022 passed by this Court, the word 'plaintiff' should be read as 'defendant'. Let the correction be incorporated.
