The Court :- The petitioner is the sole proprietor of medical shop called "Ghosh Medical Hall". The retail medicine shop was being run on the basis of licence in which the petitioner and his father were partners. Upon the death of his father, the shop was being run under the proprietorship of the petitioner since 2011. Upon the application for nenewal being made, on 26th March, 2012 the petitioner was only communicated of the renewal but he was never provided with the actual renewed drug licence.

In that view of the matter, the Assistant Director, North Kolkata zone, Drugs Control Headquarter, being respondent no. 3 shall furnish the petitioner with an appropriate drug licence in respect of the said shop room, namely Ghosh Medical Hall.

With the aforesaid observations, WPO No. 1455 of 2022 is disposed of . The instructions of the Assistant Director, Drugs Control Headquarter dated 15th March, 2022 addressed to their Counsel is kept with the record. (RAJASEKHAR MANTHA, J.) S. Chandra.
