The Court:- Despite service, none appears for the respondent at the time of call. Affidavit of service filed in Court today be kept with the records. Learned Counsel for the petitioner points out that even at the stage of Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, and/or the stage of the arbitral proceedings, the respondent remained unrepresented. Even otherwise, this Court is sufficiently satisfied that service has duly been effected on the respondent. Upon hearing learned Counsel for the petitioner and going through the materials annexed to the application, I am convinced that the petitioner has made out sufficient grounds for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator, which expired on June 12, 2024, before which the present application has been filed.

Accordingly, AP/105/2024 is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for a period of eight months from June 12, 2024. (SABYASACHI BHATTACHARYYA, J.) SK.
